Mohave County Sheriff Building

Round Column Form
"The form was easy to set-up and handle. Stripping was easy with no spalling issues. It took 30 minutes to strip and the form was ready to be set-up again. I would estimate that using this form saved about 4 hours of production time per day."

Coreslab Structures (ARIZONA), Inc.
The new Mohave County Sheriff's Building is designed as a sustainably built structure. To help in the project's sustainability goals; Coreslab Structures in Phoenix Arizona is using a self compacting concrete mix with 30% fly ash and 100% recycled rebar for the precast elements. One of those elements is a round column being cast in a form produced by Hamilton Form Company. The form consists of a half round column base with a hinged half round top; and a capital base, sideforms and top plate that attaches with Hamilton Form speed bolts. The top and bottom skins on the form interlock for alignment and to help minimize seam appearance. A filler was built to accommodate height changes required. The form was set-up on a slight incline to help the flow of concrete. A bracket on the side of the form was used for an external vibrator.
